Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus with Mixed-Up Sesame
- 16 thick asparagus stalks, washed and ends trimmed
- 16 strips lean, center cut bacon
- Asian Gourmet Sesame Teriyaki Sauce
- Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Sesame Seasoning
Preheat oven to 400°. Place a cooling rack on a cookie sheet (to let the grease drain while cooking).
This dish can be tricky because the asparagus will become too soft before the bacon is cooked. To combat that, partially cook the bacon in the microwave. When the bacon is safe to handle without burning your fingers, wrap each asparagus stalk with a slice of bacon and secure with a vegetable tie or toothpick. Pour Sesame Teriyaki into a shallow pie plate and dip each bacon-wrapped stalk. Cook until bacon is done, about ten minutes (but watch carefully). Sprinkle with Jane’s Sesame Seasoning and serve!
