Family Favorite Baked Penne with Basil

  • 1 lb. Bella Famiglia Penne Rigate
  • 1 lb. ground beef or ground sweet Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Basil
  • 1/2 Tbsp. Jane’s Krazy Mixed-Up Garlic
  • 1 jar Bella Famiglia Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Bella Famiglia Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, shredded

Preheat oven to 350°. Cook pasta until just al dente. In a large skillet, cook ground beef (or sausage) with onion, garlic, Jane’s Basil and Jane’s Garlic. Drain when cooked through. In a casserole dish, assemble pasta, meat, sauce, and cheeses and mix well. Cover and bake for thirty minutes, uncover and bake ten minutes more until cheese is browned and sauce is bubbly. Serve with crusty bread and garden salad.
